Head Shots
The series "são longuinho" is a collection of collaged photographs from my time visiting my mother’s family in São Paulo, Brazil in 2015 intertwined with photographs of the women who have impacted me most during my time in New Orleans. The name são longuinho is the name of the catholic saint of finding lost things. My mother taught me a little tradition that involved chanting his name in order to find any lost item. New Orleans greatly reminded me of Brazil, a place where I wish I had spent more time which is why I chose to compare those subjects. I also dearly appreciate feminine energy and the women in my life, and I chose to connect the essences of femininity and nature while simultaneously comparing Brazil and New Orleans.

This was a funk-inspired album cover that I styled, shot, and edited. This was made for my design photography class.

Image shot and edited meant to portray the word "whimsical"
